Commissions

I welcome commissions for the creation of bespoke individual, pairs of or groups of boards. I will analyse and interpret images and select the most appropriate woods from a wide range of samples, (which can be seen on the ‘Wood Samples’ page on this website). Boards can be made from a range of four different sizes (20x30cm, 40x60cm, 70x50cm or 80x80cm). Orders for all kinds of desks, chairs, accessories such as backgammon boards (decorative and functional) are accepted. Visual communication online and by email will ensure you are kept well informed on how your commission is progressing.
The cost of your commission will be negotiated and finalised in advance of your order being placed and will be based on the board size and the intricacy of the proposed project. Materials are charged for in advance. I would ask for one third of the fee at the start of the project, one third at the half way stage and one third on completion.
